Stabbing - Boy, 12, Appears Before Magistrates’ Court

A 12-year-old boy has appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court this afternoon (Monday 25th March) charged with the attempted murder of a 15-year-old girl, who was stabbed in the abdomen on Adelaide Drive on Friday (22nd March) afternoon.

The boy, who cannot be named because of his age, appeared in front of District Judge William Nelson, who sent the case to Maidstone Crown Court to be dealt with. The boy is expected to appear there for a preliminary hearing on Monday 22nd April  and was remanded in custody at a youth detention facility until then but could apply for bail again.

Teenage boy jailed after girl stabbed 60 times

A brutal, pre-planned and unprovoked assault which saw a teenage girl stabbed 60 times in Sittingbourne has led to a judge imposing a discretionary life sentence on a teenage boy.

The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, assaulted the victim in July 2021 and left her with numerous life-threatening injuries. 

Following an investigation by the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, he admitted attempted murder and was sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court earlier today (Friday 4th March).

Appeal After Teenage Boy Assaulted In Sittingbourne

Kent Police are looking for information following a report that a teenage boy was assaulted in Milton Regis in late November.

Police confirmed today (Tuesday 29th December) that between 7.30pm and 8.00pm on Monday 30th November a group of up to 11 young people were reported to have assaulted the victim in Milton Recreation Ground. The boy was subsequently taken to a local hospital to receive treatment for facial injuries.

Boy Admits To Two Sittingbourne Robberies

A 17-year-old, who assaulted two teenage boys and stole their mobile phones in the space of five minutes, has pleaded guilty to robbery.

At about 8.15am on Thursday 7th May, a 13-year-old boy was walking to school along St John's Avenue in Sittingbourne when he was approached by two older boys. They asked him the time and after taking out his iPhone 5 to help them out, the victim was held in a headlock and his mobile phone taken.
