To top a fantastic week for Sittingbourne Football Club and Brickies fans, with the Men's First Team attaining 12 wins in a row and a win in their final home match of the season on Tuesday (18th April) evening, there has been some great news for the Ladies team too.
Sittingbourne Ladies FC took on Sevenoaks Town Ladies FC, at Maidstone's Gallagher Stadium, last night (Thursday 20th April) and won 2-1 to take the Football Association's Kent Women's Plate.

A security guard from Sittingbourne has won more than £12,000 in the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance's lottery.
Nigel Long, who works on the Sittingbourne Retail Park, signed up to the life-saving charity's regular Lottery and Superdraw when a canvasser called at his home last year.

Local Taekwondo competitor Will Tumber has come back from the British Taekwondo National Championships with a gold medal.
The Championships were held at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester on Saturday (12th September) and showcased the development of cadet and junior athletes and their progression as members of the national squad.
14-year-old Will is a Brorden Grammar student and was a previous recipient of a grant from the Swale Youth Development Fund and is a member of the GB Taekwondo Cadet Team.
