The Brickies season ended in disappointing style on Saturday (23rd April) afternoon as Corinthian netted the final two goals in what has been a reasonably successful Sittingbourne season.

After flirting with the Play Off places for much of the season, its only in recent weeks that form seems to have deserted the Brickies and sadly this was just another game too far.

Sittingbourne FC and Borden Village FC have announced a formal link between the two clubs going forward.

The two club committees say they have been discussing the tie up for sometime and following changes at Borden Village felt that the time was now right to join forces. The tie up has begun with Sittingbourne FC helping Borden finalise a strong management team that will now include names familiar to stalwart Brickies fans.

A local 18-year-old football player is attracting Premier League interest in recent days.

Sittingbourne FC player Lex Allan, who lives on the Isle of Sheppey, is being tracked by top clubs Crystal Palace and Millwall.

Sittingbourne FC Secretary, John Pitts, told SFM News: "Lex is an excellent defender. He has such a great ability for his age"

Lex has also been attracting other rave reviews from the six matches that he has played for Sittingbourne.
