Kent County Council (KCC) are proposing to make savings by reducing the money they spend on providing some bus services that private bus companies cannot afford to run, and which are no longer cost effective.
Local bus company Arriva Kent have announced that they will be running more services from next Monday (1st June) - but passengers will be advised to wear face masks when social distancing isn't possible.
Following government advice to only travel if your journey is essential local bus companies have revised timetables across the network, though key routes will continue to operate to ensure customers can access critical services and key workers are able to travel.
For the vast majority of local services these changes came into effect from yesterday (Monday 30th March) and affect the following routes:-
333 - Sittingbourne to Faversham
via Bapchild, Teynham and Ospringe
An Arriva double decker bus struck the railway bridge in Milton Road, Sittingbourne, earlier today resulting in both road and train service closures.
