CCTV Appeal After The Theft Of Power Tools

Kent Police investigators have issued a CCTV image after multiple power tools were reported stolen near Sittingbourne.

The incident happened at Axminster Tools on the Sheppey Way in Bobbing between 9.30am and 9.40am on Friday (5th April)

It is alleged a group of men entered the premises and left without paying for several cordless drills, sanders and other items worth more than £7,000. Officers have been investigating this incident are now able to issue an image of three men who may be able to assist with their enquiries.

A dispersal order will be in place over the weekend to tackle nuisance vehicles in Swale. It will operate from 7pm this eveining (Friday 19th May) until 7pm on Sunday (21st May) evening and includes Ridham Dock, Sheppey Way, Old Ferry Road, Swale Way, Barge Way, Neats Court Retail Park, Rushenden and Rushenden Marshes.

Kent Police say the enforcement "is due to an increase in reports of nuisance vehicles and, in some cases, dangerous driving at weekends. It allows officers to stop anyone involved in anti-social behaviour and move them on".

Dispersal Order Issued To Tackle Nuisance Vehicles

A dispersal order will be in place over the weekend to tackle nuisance vehicles in a rural area of Sittingbourne.

It will operate from 7pm tonight (Friday 24th February) until 7pm on Sunday (26th February) and covers Sheppey Way, Old Ferry Road, Swale Way and Barge Way near Kemsley Fields.

The order is being implemented by Kent Police due to an increase in reports of nuisance vehicles and dangerous driving in the district at weekends. It allows officers to stop anyone involved in anti-social behaviour and move them on from the area.

Bungalow Fire Tackled In Iwade

Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called to Sheppey Way in Iwade to reports of a bungalow fire at around 11pm last night (Thursday 1st September).

Four fire engines attended and crews tackled a fire in the roof space using hose reel jets and main jets.

KFRS’ volunteer response team also attended to provide support the occupants and residents in neighbouring properties affected by the incident. 

There were no reported casualties and the cause is not yet known.
