Woman Freed From Crash On The A249

The Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene of a crash involving a car and a lorry on the A249 Maidstone-bound carriageway between Stockbury and Keycol at Danaway. just before 9.00pm last night (Thursday 17th March).

Crews used hydraulic rescue equipment to remove the roof of the car to release one female occupant, so that she could be cared for by the attending ambulance.

Firefighters had to use hydraulic rescue equipment to help release a woman earlier this evening (Thursday 14th January) who was trapped following a crash on the M2 coast-bound between junctions 1 (Rochester, Gillingham and Grain) and 2 (Strood).

Kent Fire & Rescue Service (KFRS) were called at 19.09hrs to the scene. The driver was removed from the vehicle and passed in to the care of the South East Coast Ambulance Service.

Motorway traffic was not disrubted during the incident due to the time of day.

Fire crews from Sittingbourne Fire Station had to use hydraulic cutting gear earlier this afternoon (Thursday 30th April) to take the roof off of a car and help free a woman who was trapped following a crash on the A249 at Iwade.
