Litter Angels Wins Asda Green Token Vote

Local anti-litter charity, Litter Angels, have won £500 from the Asda Foundation’s Green Token Giving initiative to assist with tackling litter across Sittingbourne and Sheppey.

Shoppers could vote for their chosen charity between 1st October and 30th November via the Asda Foundation’s website.

Litter Angels received £500 as the winner and two runners-up received £200 each.

The Forum Shopping Centre, here in Sittingbourne, has announced the winner of their Father's Day Competition as Alan Larner.

The competition offered shoppers and online followers the chance to win a luxury dinner for two at The Holiday Inn Coniston Hotel plus a fantastic piece of jewellery courtesy of F Hinds, which is located within the shopping centre.

Members of the public entered the competition by sharing their most special and favourite things about their dad on The Forum's Facebook page.

Sittingbourne's very own 'Whistling Postman', Dale Howting, has won yet another award for his tireless fundraising work.

80-year-old Dale has cycled across all areas of the world raising money for local charities since 1977. He has raised over a quarter of a million pounds for charities and has been raising money for Demelza Hospice, The Kent Air Ambulance plus 29 other charities!
