Arrests Made Following Rochester "Acid Attack"

Three arrests have been made following an incident at a town centre pub in Rochester that left a man with facial injuries.

Kent Police was called to a disturbance at ‘Ye Arrow’ on High Street at 10.15pm on Saturday 13th September. It is alleged that a man from Sittingbourne was assaulted and a corrosive substance was thrown which landed on his face.

Officers attended the scene alongside emergency services. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment to injuries not reported as life-threatening. He has since been discharged.

An investigation was launched leading to the arrest of a 23 year old man from Wickford, Essex on 18 September.

On Monday (22nd September) and Tuesday (23 September) respectively, a 19 year old man from Purfleet-on-Thames and a man aged 21 and from Upminster were further detained.

All three were held on suspicion of assault and taken into custody, from where they were later bailed while enquiries continue.
