Description

Kicking off Swale Film Festival is this beloved 1944 rendition of Chaucer's classic. Three modern day pilgrims investigate a bizarre crime in a small town on the way to Canterbury. Filmed in 1943 in the villages of Wickhambreaux, Chilham and Fordwich and in the blitzed streets of Canterbury itself. The film runs for 2 hours, 5 minutes and stars Sheila Sim, John Sweet and Dennis Price.
