Description
Every September thousands of volunteers across England organise events to celebrate our fantastic history and culture and to give you a chance to see hidden places and try out new experiences – all of which are FREE to explore. St Michael's launch this year's event with a chance to see the Grade II Listed church which was built in the 11th century. It has been key feature of the town centre for more than a millennium and the church was restored in the 1700-1800s after a serious fire destroyed the lead roof and gutted the church building leaving just the walls tanding. You can find out more about it's fascinating history by attending this event today.
