Description

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see a late Iron Age Roman settlement, whose buildings and artefacts are exceptional. Unfortunately for safety reasons children who are under 18, or appear to be under 18, will not be allowed on to the site but SWAT Archaeology have set up a viewing platform that children can use, from which the main finds - the temple and the road can be seen. Adults can visit the excavation site if they are wearing their own hi-vis vest / tabard or jacket, you will not need a hard hat if entering from the viewing platform. The closest parking is at the Village Hall about 5 minutes away via the A2. Parking is FREE. Apon arrival please report to the Marketing Suite to sign in and collect Personal Protection Equipment before being excorted to the excavations.
