Kids Outdoor Music Workshops

Brogdale Collections present their Kids Outdoor Music Workshops where children can play at the National Fruit Collection orchards with music from the local community samba band Samba Pelo Mar. Children will be able to learn a piece of percussion-based music using the samba instruments and incorporating Brogdale’s own instruments in the World Music Garden. They’ll be playing surdo bass drums, snares and repiniques, tamborims, bells and shakers from Brazil along with Brogdale’s World Music Garden tubular gongs, bat phones and log drums from Africa, South America and Asia. A performance and parade will be the finale of the workshop. No previous experience is needed and all instruments will be provided. There is unlimited free parking, disabled toilets and a café available onsite. Tickets are priced £7.50 per child and 1 adult, with additional children or adults at £7.50 each. Suitable for children aged 7-15+ and all children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
