Description
In the early 1900's Britain was the favoured destination for refugees from persecution by Tsarist Russia, many settling in the East End of London. Most were poor Jewish families but some were exiled revolutionaries who arrived armed, prepared to rob, kill, and if need be to die for their cause. This is the story of their bloodiest outrage and the police hunt to bring them to justice, culminating in the infamous ‘Battle of Stepney'. Entrance is £3 to non-members, £1 to members (unless pre-paid). Proof of membership required. This talk follows the HRGS AGM which is at 7.00pm
