Leeds Castle Triathlon
Striders were out in force at the Leeds Castle Triathlon either marshalling or competing in the event which was the next in the club championships. 21 members took part 8 of which it was their first triathlon. The competition was as hot as the weather as competitors swam in the moat, rode along the A20 and ran around the undulating grounds of what is hailed as 'The Loveliest Castle in the World'. Great results for the club details of which are as follows:

Bewl Water 15-mile Running Race - 1 July
A number of Striders decided to head for Bewl Water to try their luck over 15-miles. All of the team put in strong perfornances with Sam Mumford claiming 1 st Strider back in 2.16.53 closley followed by Christopher Mudge in 2.25.10.

Herne Bay - Les Golding 10km
On Sunday 4 Striders went to the seaside to race 10km in hot conditions.
First back for the team was Sam Fawcet in 56.53. Next was Aneta Steers in 1:04:46 just 2 seconds in front of Carey Philpott with a 1:04:48. Alison Kite completed the course in1:06:22 with Emma Penfold in 1.08.37.

London 's greatest Relay Race - Saturday, 30 June
Emily Middleton teamed up with Martine Ingram, Sarah Strachan and 12-year old Owen Wood of Swale AC for the 20km event which involved each running completing 5km in Victoria Park. The quartet did very well completing the event in 1.57.26.
