Sittingbourne Striders Take On The Hilly Yeovil Half Marathon

Sunday was a quieter day for the Sittingbourne Striders following a busy March, in part due to many runners entering the ‘tapering' phase of their preparations for the April marathon season!

However, a few hardy souls faced the hours less sleep with considerable fortitude and took part in some longer runs. Gavin and Sheila Malloch (pictured) traveled to Somerset to take part in the hilly Yeovil Half Marathon, finishing in 2hrs 7mins 9secs and 2hrs 30mins 34secs respectively.

Alison Davey was the first strider over the line in the Adun and Worthing 20 mile race, finishing in 3hrs 18mins 54 secs, joined by Ronald Smith who finished in 3hrs 28mins 49secs.

Finally, Teresa Watson took part in the SVN Funky Pants Challenge in Gravesend, running a trail route of 21 miles in 3hrs 40mins 38secs
