COVID-19 'On The Radio' Giveaway

Here at 106.9 SFM we have launched a special project, in partnership with The Radio Hub and the National Lottery Community Fund, called ‘On The Radio' to help vulnerable local residents here in Sittingbourne.

It is well known that radio can be an invaluable ‘friend' in difficult times and the free radios will have YOUR local 106.9 SFM, as a saved pre-set.

We will be awarding a FREE radio to vulnerable or elderly people who may be self-isolating or feel lonely and isolated during the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Station Director, Pete Flynn, said: "106.9 SFM is delighted to be running this project and I think it's a lovely idea to reach so many more people. We are in very troubled times, and the pandemic is causing much stress and anxiety. With the situation constantly changing, we are fully committed to providing as much helpful, and up-to-date information to our listeners as possible. I would like to say a special thank you to The Radio Hub and the National Lottery Community Fund for making this possible".

106.9 SFM wants to ensure that as many vulnerable people have access to the radio and the scheme is taking place until 30th June, or until we run out of our limited supply.
