CCTV Appeal After The Theft Of Power Tools

Kent Police investigators have issued a CCTV image after multiple power tools were reported stolen near Sittingbourne.

The incident happened at Axminster Tools on the Sheppey Way in Bobbing between 9.30am and 9.40am on Friday (5th April)

It is alleged a group of men entered the premises and left without paying for several cordless drills, sanders and other items worth more than £7,000. Officers have been investigating this incident are now able to issue an image of three men who may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The owner of two unaccompanied dogs found wandering on their leads is being sought by Kent Police officers.

The male and female dogs were found at around 10pm on Monday (2nd October) evening in Parsonage Lane, Bobbing.

Typically, unaccompanied dogs considered lost or abandoned are handed over to the local dog warden when their owners cannot be located. However, the circumstances in which the animals were found on Monday suggest their owner may be unaccounted for and officers are keen find them to ensure they are safe, as well as reunite them with their pets.

Appeal Following Serious A249 Collision

Witnesses are being sought following a serious collision on the A249 Sheppey Way near Bobbing last night.

The incident, involving a white Ford Transit tipper truck and a black and red motorcycle, took place at 5.10pm (Tuesday 30th November).

Both vehicles were travelling towards Iwade at the time of the collision and the motorcyclist, who is in his late teens, sustained serious injuries. He was taken to a London hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Major Power Cut Affecting Kemsley And Bobbing

Thousands of residents are currently without power in the Kemsley and Bobbing areas.

UK Power Networks have told SFM News: "Several thousand customers are impacted by a power cut in the Sittingbourne area at 6.42pm. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience the power cut has caused. An underground electricity cable faulted on our high voltage network, causing an area wide power cut."

Drunk Van Driver Jailed After Schoolgirl Killed

A drunk van driver, who ploughed into a car and killed a schoolgirl in Bobbing, has been jailed for seven years.

Benjamin Henley was more than two and a half times over the drink drive limit when he collided with a black Audi which had broken down on a slip road on the A249 on Wednesday 24th October 2018.

Henley, 45, of Illustrious Close, Chatham, failed to spot the Audi before he collided with it at around 11.50pm.

Georgia Mann, who was 15 and from Sittingbourne, was taken to a London hospital where she died on the morning of Friday 26 October.

 Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called to the A2 Keycol Hill in Bobbing earlier this afternoon.

It was following reports of a collision involving one vehicle at approximately 13:15hrs.

Two fire engines attended and crews used hydraulic rescue equipment to remove the car roof and free a man trapped inside.

He was handed into the care of South East Coast Ambulance paramedics, who were also attending the scene.

Appeal After Serious Collision Overnight In Bobbing

Kent Police are appealing for information following a collision in Bobbing which left three people with serious injuries.

Officers were called to the scene, A249 northbound slip, at 11.50pm last night (Wednesday 24th October). The collision involved a white Volkswagen Caddy van and a black Audi A1 Sport, which had come to a stop.

A woman in hers 20's and a teenage girl, both from the Swale area, sustained head injuries and were both passengers in the Audi.

Serious Accident Closes Old Sheppey Way

Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) have confirmed that they responded earlier today (Wednesday 5th July) to a serious collision on the Sheppey Way in Bobbing.

KFRS were working alongside colleagues from Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the HEMS paramedics.

The collision involves a motorcyclist and an Large Goods Vehicle (LGV). Fire crews used air bags to release a casualty, who was then handed into the care of paramedics.
