Man Charged After Fatal Collision In Teynham

A man has been charged in connection with a fatal collision in Teynham on Saturday 13th February 2016.

Kent Police officers were called at 10.15am on that day following an incident involving a cyclist and a heavy goods vehicle on the A2 London Road.

The cyclist - 73-year-old local woman Barbara Phipps, from Lynsted - died following the collision.

A 58-year old man, William Magee of Readers Court in Chelmsford, Essex, has now been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop by Kent Police.

The woman who died in a fatal road traffic collision in Teynham yesterday (Saturday 13th February) has been named by her family.

Barbara Phipps, aged 73, of Lynsted, died when the bicycle she was riding was in collision with an HGV on the A2 London Road.

Kent Police are still appealing for witnesses to the collision, which happened at 10.15am yesterday morning.

Kent Police are appealing for information following a serious road traffic collision that occurred on the A2 in Teynham at around 1.20am this morning.

The incident involved a blue Peugeot that was travelling from the Faversham direction towards Sittingbourne. The collision occurred near the Dover Castle public house. The car was carrying four young adults, three men and a woman.

Kent Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal collision in Teynham yesterday (Friday 30th October).

At 4:38pm officers were called to Lower Road in Teynham, at the junction with Frognal Lane, to a collision between an Audi A4 and a Suzuki motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, a man aged in his 30s, died at the scene. The driver and passenger of the car were uninjured.

Officers from Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit have released an image of a car they would like to trace following a fatal road traffic collision in Teynham.

Collision investigators are keen to speak to the driver of a dark coloured hatchback that is seen to stop momentarily at the scene before driving on.

Officers were called to the A2 London Road at 5.40am on Sunday 8th September after reports a red Honda motorcycle had been in collision with a white Scania articulated HGV.

Appeal After Fatal Teynham Collision

Kent Police are appealing for information following a fatal road traffic collision in Teynham on Sunday (8th September) morning.

Officers were called to the A2 London Road at 5.40am, after reports that a red Honda motorcycle had been in collision with a white Scania articulated HGV.

The motorcyclist, 44 year-old Jeremy James Nicholson, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the HGV was uninjured in the incident.
