Marino Fish Bar, on London Road, have won in the best dine-in fish and chips category at the English Fish and Chip Awards 2026.

Marino Fish Bar, on London Road, have won in the best dine-in fish and chips category at the English Fish and Chip Awards 2026.

The Fish Bar is celebarting it's 30th year here in Sittingbourne and won at an awards ceremony in Manchester on Monday (22nd June) . They also came second in two other categories in the awards – the Best Fish And Chip Shop in the South and Best Menu.

Andreas Matheou, the owner of Marino Fish Bar in London Road told SFM News: "The win still hasn't sunk in yet. It is a big award for us, with about 600 nominees in the category. Only 24 were actually pbut through for selection and we were the only chip shop in the south east. There are so many famous chip shops in the awards, so I am really happy it's coming to Sittingbourne, as I was not expecting it.”
