Music Recitals at St Michael's Church

This Saturday sees the resumption of Saturday morning music recitals at Sittingbourne's St. Michael's church. Following the fitting of a new heating system the church is now able to host these popular events for the first time since before Christmas. To welcome the recitals back Saturday's main performer will also be welcome back: Japanese mezzo soprano Wakana Gong, this time accompanied by pianist, also Japanese, Sakaya Aoki. This will be Wakana's fourth appearance in Sittingbourne, her last being in March 2017,  but her accompanist's first. This delightful female duo's programme will include works by Schumann, Messiaen, Debussy and others. The recital begins at 11am with tea and coffee from 10.50am. Admission is free and there will be a retiring collection towards artistes expenses, piano hire and church funds.
