Faversham Food Festival

From Court Street to the Alexander Centre there will be a celebration of local food and drink, plus Faversham Oysters and a medieval theme to the Game Fayre in Preston Street. Performing throughout the day will be medieval musicians, ‘The Faversham Waytes’ in various locations, and ‘Mr Mystery Punch & Judy' - all free for children, their parents and their grandparents!

10am to 4pm - Food Stalls and Tastings in the Market Place

10am to 5pm - Drinks Event with tastings and talks in the Alexander Centre

10am to 4pm - Game Fayre in Preston Street with fire-grilled venison, gamekeepers & more!

12.30pm - ‘How to make Samosas’ - demonstration in the Abbey Physic Community Garden

3pm - The Chefs’ Oyster Competition outside the Alexander Centre - local chefs will compete to prepare Oysters 3 Ways (raw, cooked, freestyle) in just 10 minutes. Champagne, ‘bragging rights’ and much prestige for the winner!

4pm - results of the Ale Trail and the Sausage Trail will be announced in the Alexander Centre
