A robber who stole cash at a Sittingbourne store was foiled by the victim as he tried to flee the scene.

On Monday 23rd May Christopher Bygrave and Jimmy Brazil went to a shop in Milton Regis. The latter entered the premises where he saw a woman waiting to deposit a quantity of cash.

He left the building and spoke to Bygrave who went in and stood next to the woman at the counter. His presence made her nervous and, as she tried to phone her husband who was waiting outside, Bygrave snatched the money from her hand and ran towards the exit.

Sittingbourne Robber Jailed For Snatching Handbag

A robber, who stole a handbag from an elderly woman while she walked to a Sittingbourne shop, has been jailed.

Craig Creasey initially engaged in conversation with the victim, who is in her 80s, before snatching her bag with such force she fell to the ground.

The 39-year-old, from Sittingbourne, admitted robbery and was sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court yesterday (Wednesday 13th May) to 16 months imprisonment.

Sittingbourne Robber Jailed For 4 Years

A robber has been jailed for four years after admitting to stealing from a man in Sittingbourne.

Rolandas Viezauskis, 42, of no fixed address, was sentenced on Friday 5th October at Maidstone Crown Court after pleading guilty to one count of robbery.

The judge heard how at around 10.00pm on Friday 27th July the victim was walking home from Sittingbourne Railway Station and had entered Dover Street where he saw three men standing together.

Robber Who Attacked Delivery Driver Jailed

A 21-year-old man, who was caught after he robbed a pizza delivery man and boasted about it on social media, has been jailed for over three years.

At around 11.30pm on Friday 10th March, a delivery man was carrying a pizza in Preston Street, Faversham, when he was approached by two men who punched and kicked him to the ground. When a member of the public came to the victim's aid, the two men stole the pizza and the victim's baseball cap.
